Vacancy: Junior Account Manager

We are looking for someone to join our expanding team, which is already working with a wide range of public and private sector clients across the UK; someone with strong digital, project management and customer service skills who recognises the importance of public services and social value and is willing to work as part of a dynamic team to manage and develop our growing number of accounts. This is a hands-on role that requires a pro-active individual who is willing to learn and can take on responsibility for leading on projects and accounts.
You will be working with the accounts team to set up, manage and expand social value project accounts for a wide range of blue chip clients and helping to report on performance. The role will have a wide range of exciting and innovative aspects, including: helping clients to get the most out of the Portal, reporting on social value outcomes, analysing project performance and metrics and customer relationship management. The role will involve engaging very closely with our platform, so any previous experience working with online CRM platforms would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.

Experience and Qualifications
You will have a good academic standard in a numerical or mathematical discipline and be tech-savvy. You must be comfortable working with web applications and have an ability to explain “software” to clients in simple terms. You will have good customer relationship building skills. You will also have an organised and structured approach to working and have great attention to detail.
Minimum degree-level or equivalent qualifications in relevant subjects
High level of numeracy, including Excel proficiency
Strong communication and organisational skills
Experience working with customers and web applications
Relevant masters / post-graduate degree in STEM subjects or social sciences
We are interested if you have experience in any of the following:
- Web design and site management
- Customer support
- Data analysis and statistics
About the Social Value Portal
The Social Value Portal is a young London-based Software as a Service (SaaS) business which works with public and private sector clients across the UK. Our mission is to provide an evidence-based approach to measuring and delivering social value. There are three essential components to our business, which are underpinned by the National Social Value Measurement Framework:
- Managing, monitoring and reporting social value using the online Portal;
- Research & development of methodologies and products to support the Portal;
- Consultancy and advisory work with clients to assist in the development of social value strategies and approaches
Social value is a rapidly developing agenda for addressing societal challenges using an integrated triple bottom line (economic / social / environment) approach. We are at the leading edge of developing social value methodologies and approaches to measuring and delivering social value and our clients need conceptual and strategic support and advice, as well as the tools that the Portal offers.
Our expanding client-base comes from a range of sectors, including central & local government, health, real estate and development, engineering & construction, nuclear and financial services, and the third sector.
