The West Princes Street Gardens is a very unique and special place situated in the heart of Edinburgh. The West Princes Street Gardens is considered amongst locals to have a value that supersedes any monetary figure due to the fact that it is a part of the City’s identity.
The initial driver behind this Renovation Project was the fact that the Gardens, a very visible part of the city with and incredibly rich heritage, was in dire need of rejuvenation and preservation.
The Ross Development Trust decided to step in and head the Project by proposing to raise £25m to fund the ambitious renovation programme.
This report, produced by Aventia Consulting Limited and Caledonian Economics Limited in February 2017, outlines the importance of the Project, the effects it will have and they various ways they can be assessed.
