With nearly 15,000 members, CCEG is housed within The University of Northampton a leading social innovation university. It is the home of the Social Earnings Ratio (S/E), described by The Vatican as “the most rapidly adopted Social Impact Metric in the world” (July 2014). Following 3 years of extensive testing across 30 institutions in a unique wiki-university collaboration, CCEG is launching ‘Seratio’ in April 2015 – a fully automated social impact platform.

The Social Enterprise Mark is independent proof that a business or organisation puts profits towards social or environmental good.  The Mark is the UK social enterprise certification authority.

 

The Social Enterprise Mark differentiates your business from competition and demonstrates your social value. It is a Mark of trust which reinforces your integrity to stakeholders.  To achieve the Social Enterprise Mark you should: have social or environmental aims; spend at least 50% of profits fulfilling these aims; have your own constitution and governance; earn at least 50% of income from trading; distribute residual assets to social or environmental aims, if dissolved; and demonstrate social value.
