The Social Value Portal is now on the Government’s Digital Marketplace (G-Cloud), an online platform that all public sector organisations can use to find and buy cloud-based services.
Important note: All public sector organisations, including agencies and arm’s length bodies, can use the Digital Marketplace. Check the customer unique reference number (URN) list to see if you’re eligible*. The Social Value Portal provides an online cloud-based application for the comparison, measurement and management of Social Value commitments made by bidders through procurement, and the monitoring of its delivery through contract management, according to the principles of the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012. The service is run as a subscription model, with account setup, onboarding and the development of a Social Value Calculator included as part of the subscription.
Procurement projects allow a project page to be created with a specific list of Social Value measures; suppliers are invited to register with the portal and upload their responses and evidence. The responses may then be evaluated for Social Value. Projects in delivery may be monitored. Suppliers are invited to register, and upload evidence to demonstrate that they have met their commitments, or to measure their social value contribution.
Additionally, we are able to write comprehensive Social Value Policy documents, to create a bespoke set of Themes, Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) to form a Social Value calculator, as well as further training or advisory work around Social Value
